EPDP is an Information and Advocacy service funded by the NSW Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care. The program provides services to people with disabilities and their carers from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

To create an awareness and understanding of the needs of CALD people with disabilities amongst Aged, Disbility and HACC service providers so that services are culturally and linguistically relevant and accessible to CALD people with disabilities, their carers/family members;
To consult CALD people with disabilities, their carers/family members on their needs and access issues and respond accordingly;
To empower CALD people with disabiliies and their carers/family members through the provision of information dissemination on access to culturally appropriate services, their rights and responsibilities and Disability Services Standards;
To work with Aged, Disability and HACC services in order to ensure that their rights to access equitable services are taken into consideration at policy , planning & service delivery level through advocacy and information;
To disseminate information to CALD communities about disabilities and disability services;
To conduct ongoing consultations with service providers about needs of people with disabilities from CALD backgrounds, their families/family members.

To outreach NESB/CALD people with disabilities and their carers/family members;
To provide information about Aged, Disability and HACC services to CALD communities, in order to increase their awarensee & access;
To establish CALD disability support networks;
To develop links between local disability workers and CALD communities;
To facilitate access by providing the links between people from CALD backgrounds with disabilities and service providers.
To represent the views of people with disabilities from CALD backgrounds, their families and their carers to policy makers and other relevant bodies ensuring that their issues are taken into consideration at planning, policy and service delivery level;
To facilitate information sessions and workshops for service providers and people with disabilities from CALD backgrounds and their carers;
To provide Cultural Competence Training to enhance the skills of service providers to address the needs of CALD people with disabilities and their carers/family members;
To develop and maintain training resources.
To network with Disability, advocacy and other relevant Government & non-Government organisations to ensure that issues affecting CALD people with disabilities are addressed at all levels of service delivery.
